Barbara "Breezy" Bishop

Breezy was a girls' basketball coach at Western High School in Baltimore, Maryland. She built one of the nation's top high school programs during her 24 seasons at Western. Her coaching career consists of coaching:
  • 1997-1998 N.C. State Assistant Coach- while at N.C. State, the Wolfpack reached the NCAA Women's Final Four for the first time in school history.
    • Collegiate Coaching at N.C. State, Coppin State, Johns Hopkins, Townson State Universities.
  • 1995 U.S. Olympic Festival Assistant Coach, Silver Meadow Winner
  • 1979-1983, Western Senior High School
    • Compiled an overall record of 424-24, winning back-to-back Maryland State Championships in 1994 and 1995.
    • 17 Baltimore City Championships with her teams consistently ranked among the nation's best by U.S.A. Today.
    • Was selected WBCA National High School Coach of the Year
    • Head Coach WBCA Girls' High School All-America Game, 1995
  • Inducted into the NCAA Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, 2000
